Al-Balat – newspaper

2025
Stamp Journal

This newspaper was designed as a living mediation tool for the archaeological site of Albalat. It combines informative content about the site, its history, discoveries, and ongoing research, while giving an active role to the public.
The newspaper includes a system of stamps reproducing Albalat’s graffiti, allowing readers to interact directly with the pages—to mark, complete, or reinterpret the information. The goal is to transform a traditionally passive medium into a participatory object, where reading becomes an act.
This approach encourages the appropriation of scientific data through graphic experimentation and introduces a double reading between information and interpretation. Intended for a broad audience—from children to curious visitors—the newspaper circulates during workshops, events, and mediation activities, reinforcing the connection between archaeological knowledge, graphic practice, and sensory experience.
