LABRILLO BRICK – The Skin of Time is an editorial project focused on the bricks of the city of Vitoria-Gasteiz, considered as surfaces carrying memory and identity. The publication takes the form of a binder with overlays, playing on the superposition of text and form. Some pages recount the history of bricks over time, while others offer a personal observation of the city’s bricks.
These texts interact with overlays of geometric shapes, derived from a graphic analysis of brick walls photographed both in the city and in surrounding medieval villages. Everything is printed in black on tracing paper, creating layers, transparency, and visual movement. The project explores the concepts of trace, materiality, and temporality, inviting the reader to reveal or conceal fragments of the story through the physical manipulation of the object.
